CHALLENGE For the year 2025 (2015) the main focus was rethinking how a festival should speak after 10 years of existence. Along with its curator, Batman Zavareze, we realized it was a moment of breath to chart the future of this remarkable festival of Rio's cultural scene. This edition of the Multiplicidade Festival needed a visual identity that would celebrate its legacy in experimental art — while also supporting its transition to a permanent cultural archive. Outcome I designed a visual system rooted in fragmentation and memory, applied across digital, print, and spatial formats — building a cohesive narrative that honored the festival’s artistic trajectory.
My Role Developed the visual identity for the final edition of Multiplicidade, a festival with 17 years of history in experimental audiovisual art. I translated the festival’s legacy into a modular and expressive design system applied across print, digital, and spatial formats — capturing themes of memory, disruption, and transformation. CHALLENGE For the year 2025 (2015) the main focus was rethinking how a festival should speak after 10 years of existence. Along with its curator, Batman Zavareze, we realized it was a moment of breath to chart the future of this remarkable festival of Rio's cultural scene. Recreate its identity was just one of the strategies created for this edition. We went to the future to understand the best ways to communicate with the public in order to bring more engagement with viewers. CONCEPT We built a 10-year story, now begins a new cycle. We clean the screen, making room for what is to come. We do not want to predict the future. we want to build it. We want to live new experiences through technology, not be slaves of it. The best way to predict the future is create it. GRAPHIC ELEMENTS colours white, symbolizing renewal. a white page to start writing a new story. nothing but the essential linhas floating lines representing the current and potential connections. What we aim for the future? not always achieve what was planned, but is this constant tension between what you have (which has been done) and what it aims that move us.
